Promoting community wellbeing in the City of Maribyrnong sits at the heart of our work.

We offer a range of programs to support independent living, community inclusion and an age friendly environment for senior residents.

Home support

With funding from the Commonwealth Home Support Programme, Maribyrnong City Council is able to provide subsidised in-home care to assist senior residents. This includes everything from cooking and cleaning, through to valuable social support.

Funding changes

The Commonwealth Home Support Programme (CHSP) funding model is now being amended by the Australian Government to be client driven. Like many service providers, this will effect how we fund in-home care come July 2019.

We're taking this opportunity to proactively review the services we offer.
