We don't require registration to contribute to every project.

However, registering to Your City Your Voice is quick and simple with a few important questions that help us understand who is participating.

By registering we can also keep you updated on important project news or on upcoming opportunities.

There may be projects where we require registration, to ensure discussions and results are not manipulated by someone leaving multiple comments to support their own position.

Note: your username will appear with your comments in some of the tools that we use, so consider using a name that is not identifiable to you if you want to comment anonymously.

All moderation is carried out by The HiVE and is independent to Maribyrnong City Council. The moderators do not edit or alter any comments and will only remove comments deemed to be significantly off topic, offensive or malicious, in which case they are removed form the site immediately and the contributor advised and the reasons explained.

Your feedback is collated along with other comments, ideas and suggestions and is used to inform Council decisions. Online data is used alongside face to face consultation activities such as workshops, focus groups and listening posts.

• Online engagement is a quick, safe and convenient way to have your say on a range of issues and topics.
• It is a great way to keep up to date and contribute your views on issues affecting your community.
• You can see what other community members think about an issue or topic, and then respond with your own views.
• You don't have to attend community meetings at a set place and time you can contribute at a time and place that suits you.
• It allows for a range of different people, with different views to discuss matters that impact on their community.

Each page on Your City Your Voice has the Google Translate widget to translate content into languages other than English.

The UserWay widget is also available to support community members who may be audio or visual impaired.

If you are looking to translate PDFs into languages other than English, please follow these steps:

• Access Google Translate: open your web browser and go to https://translate.google.com/.
• Select "Documents": in Google Translate, click on the "Documents" option located at the top of the screen.
• Choose Languages: select the original language of your PDF and the language you wish to translate it into.
• Upload Your PDF: click "Browse your computer" and choose the PDF file you wish to translate.
• Initiate Translation: click the "Translate" button to start the translation process.
• Download the Translated PDF: once the translation is finished, download the translated PDF file.
