The Proposed Budget 2024/25 includes $20 million in funding to complete:

  • Maribyrnong Aquatic Centre Waterslide & Splash Park ($8 million)
  • Civic Precinct Redevelopment - Town Hall ($11 million): the redevelopment of the iconic Footscray Town Hall into a public community and civic precinct.

Council has also proposed:

  • Cowper Street ($6 million)
  • Joseph Road Public Realm Works (an additional $6.45 million): this is to continue to deliver upgraded roads and public spaces to enhance safety, accessibility and urban design
  • Hansen Reserve Pavilion Construction ($1.07 million).
