Nominations have now closed and those received are being assessed.
Awardees will be announced at the Civic Awards ceremony on 26 January 2018.
Many individuals and organisations play an important role in community and civic life in the City of Maribyrnong. The Citizen of the year award is the highest honor Council can bestow on individuals to recognise their contribution along with six other award categories.
The 2018 Civic Awards will recognise individuals, businesses and organisations . All nominees must either live, work, study or have some other strong connection to the City of Maribyrnong.
If you know someone who makes a difference in our community you can nominate them here using the form below or by email to governance@maribyrnong.vic.gov.au or by downloading the form to the right of the screen and mailing directly to Council.

Award Categories Citizen of the Year Award Recognises an inspirational role model who has made an outstanding contribution to the City of Maribyrnong in the field of community, health, education, environment, arts or sport. Volunteer of the Year Award Recognises the outstanding achievements of an individual as a volunteer. Youth Leadership Award Recognises the exceptional work of an individual who is under the age of 25 (as at January 26, 2018). Community Strengthening Award Recognises the outstanding work of a not for profit organization. | Enterprise Maribyrnong Awards Recognises the contribution that local business makes to the City of Maribyrnong -Contribution to Business Community Award -New and Emerging Business Award -Innovative Business Award Active Maribyrnong Sporting Award Recognises a Maribyrnong based club, team or individual involved with, or contributing to, community sport and recreation. Arts Award Recognises an individual, community group or organisation for outstanding contribution to the arts in the City of Maribyrnong. |
