Consultation has concluded

Council is currently reviewing its General Purpose Local Law (Local Law) which is a 10 year document, which expires in December 2015.

The majority of community complaints received by Council which relate to the Local Law are:

  • abandoned vehicles
  • building sites
  • burning off in the open air
  • fire hazards
  • footpath and road obstructions (including overhanging vegetation)
  • shopping trolleys
  • noise
  • unsightly land and derelict buildings and rubbish skips on roads

We are seeking your thoughts on the Local Law, following community and stakeholder input held during May.
