You told us traffic and parking at McIvor Reserve were already considered a challenge for local residents and neighbours, particularly during busy times such as training and game-day. There were concerns a new indoor sports facility would further exacerbate these issues, if not well managed.
Currently, there are 505 car parks at the Reserve.
We’re proposing to add more than 360 additional carparks, including 260 along the western boundary, to cope with any increased use and mitigate any overflow onto surrounding streets. This is in excess of the 210 required to service a six-court indoor sports facility.
The proposed McIvor Road to be built as a part of the Bradmill Development, will connect Francis Street in the north to Fogarty Avenue in the South. It will enable most of the traffic wanting to enter the Reserve at the northern end to do so from McIvor Road.
The new road is also being designed to accommodate shared pedestrian and bicycle paths to encourage active transport over vehicles. Initial studies indicate McIvor Road will cope with the likely increased demand.
A comprehensive traffic impact assessment would still be required as part of detailed design to support a final master plan.
Explore the proposed changes associated with traffic and parking on the interactive map and provide your feedback in the virtual 'post-it note' board below before midnight, Sunday 18 December.
What do you think of the proposed measures to address parking and traffic at McIvor Reserve?

Older bowlers need parking near the club so we can get our exercise too. This plan looks like it is taking that away from us and so much mor

Not sure if you’ve heard, but our part of City is at risk for urban heat island. Carparks next to Bradmill not part of solution. No stadium!

Should be a category about access not just parking because kids don't drive and single mums who work evening and weekends depend on trains.

So there's no parking at the entrance for all the buses that will be running the child minding/basketball service? Poor planning.

Please don’t turn green space into car parks. This appears to only accommodate a new sport facility that could be built elsewhere.

Markers for the turning circle at preferred stadium location are actually placed where the playground is on the opposite side of McIvor??

This will result in traffic nightmare for everyone who lives near the park. The stadium must go somewhere less residential.
