While gambling is a legal activity, problem gambling causes social and economic harms to individuals, families and communities making it a significant public health issue.

Council is committed to preventing and reducing harm and minimising the negative impacts of gambling in Maribyrnong.

Council's framework for action will focus on advocacy, research, engagement and legislation and be delivered in partnership with our community, local stakeholders and gambling venue operators.
