Skinner Reserve is a much-loved sport and recreational facility in Braybrook, servicing local residents, sporting clubs, and the wider community.
Late last year we asked your thoughts on upgrading the reserve to support safe and continued access for the community for years to come.
Feedback we received indicates you support and welcome this.
With this in mind, we’re keen to now understand how you feel the improvements we are proposing might meet your needs.
They include:
- reconstructing and resurfacing the existing playing field
- renewing the fence line around the perimeter of the field and installing new player interchange benches
- building a new two-lane running track with lanes inside the fence line
- installing new LED lighting poles to improve visibility and support night training and competitions
- installing new AFL standard goal posts with protective netting
- making upgrades to spectator amenities and the landscape surrounds
These improvements, specifically to the playing field surface, will improve the condition of the area for all users, more than doubling the amount of time local sporting clubs are able to use the facility – from the current 10-15 hours to up to 35 hours per week.
